Halfling FarmerAt first glance, Shady Acres is just another farm hidden in a quiet clearing: tobacco curing in tall barns, corn growing in tight rows, and whiskey being made in a copper still behind the fields. The stone walls are old, the fields are well kept, and the owners seem like simple folk trying to make a living.

But Shady Acres is not quite what it appears. Strange machines patrol the fields at all hours. And something lies hidden beneath the curing barns.

What is a Drop-in Location?

A drop-in location is a fully detailed place that can be inserted anywhere in an existing campaign world. It may serve as a side quest, a travel stop, a recurring base of operations, a source of rumors or employment, or a location the characters discover by accident. The location is designed to be flexible and reusable, allowing the Dungeon Master to integrate it into ongoing campaigns without altering the main plot. Where a traditional module tells a specific story, a Drop-In Location provides a setting, characters, conflicts, and opportunities

Whether the characters arrive looking for missing cargo, illegal whiskey, rare tobacco, or something far stranger, they will quickly discover that the people of Shady Acres are friendly, secretive, and very protective of what lies beneath their farm.

What This Module Includes
