The Druid Circle of Shadows Subclass for 2024 D&D 5e
The Circle of Shadows is a homebrew Druid subclass for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, built for those who care not for civilized concepts of honor and fame but instead embrace the shadows to become predators of the darkness. These Druids stalk the terrible dangers lurk in the shadows of the underbrush, their wild shapes becoming draped in misdirecting shadows as they teleport-strike between shade with the speed of darkness, and drag enemy back into a deadly gloom of their own making. Though they may go about their battles differently than other circles fighting from the shadows, these Druids are still at their heart dedicated to preserving the balance of nature.
This Subclass includes:
- Circle of Shadows Spells. A shroud of spells to trick and manipulate your enemies
- Umbral Form. Your wild shapes move swiftly and blind others when attacked.
- Improved Umbral Form. Enemies who miss you while in wild shape become enveloped by darkness as you strike normally or as Necrotic damage.
- Shadow Strike. Teleport between shadows and backstab your enemies afterwards.
- Umbra Predator. Your natural weapons deal more damage as darkness protects you from harm.
