Synopsis
In the perfumed palace district of the great city of Dolmak, a reclusive smoke-shrouded emperor rules through oracles, poison, and whispered decrees. The characters are hired by masked revolutionaries to infiltrate palace and assassinate the unseen tyrant. In truth, the emperor balances brutal factions on the edge of war, using fear to keep nobles, generals, and crime lords from slaughter. Killing him may free the city or plunge it into civil war, unless the party chooses who inherits the clouded throne.
