Domain of Hearth -- Cleric Subclass (5e)

The fire burns steady, the pot never spoils, and the door holds through the night. Outside, the wind howls and shadows pass, but none cross the threshold; not even through the open window. The cleric tends the hearth in silence, knowing that tomorrow’s journey only matters if there is somewhere safe to sleep tonight.

Not all gods are worshipped on battlefields or in grand temples. Some are honored at the edge of the fire, in well-kept homes, and in places where people gather to feel safe. Clerics of the Heart Domain are charged with protecting these aforementioned spaces, blessing the ground beneath them rather than the individuals who pass through.

To a Hearth Cleric, a place matters. Their magic sanctifies shelter, steadies walls, and drives corruption from food, water, and flame alike. Where they have prayed, rest comes easier and danger is kept at bay.

Hearth clerics often travel with others; whereas others settle in a single community. In times of crisis, they do not lead the charge, rather they make sure there is still somewhere left to return to.

Inside, you'll find:

  • A fully written, PHB-style Cleric subclass
  • Examples of deities to choose in order to match the character, including their pantheon and influence.
  • New Features:
    • Hearthkeeper's Blessing (1st-level)
    • Channel Divinity: Consecrate Shelter (2nd-level)
    • Warded Threshold (6th-level)
    • Divine Strike (8th-level)
    • Sanctuary of the Hearth (17th-level)
  • A curated circle spell list (levels 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9th; respectively)

Whereas the usual cleric blesses people and such, this one blesses places/homes and food and drink. This is a subclass I actually made and used at my table, and we had some fun with it.
