Hardy & Beholder Investigations Case File: Road to Recovery

Paranormal Investigator Veronica Hardy has hired the party to accompany her on a roadtrip down Route 666- the Highway to the Nine Hells- which rolls through a number of Domains of Dread until it terminates in Avernus. After stopping for a meal in Braska and racing through Boomtown, the bus driving Merrenoloth called the Coachman pulls the vehicle onto an scenic outlook surveying the Highmoon Valley to affect some repairs. Cowboys tending a wagon in the lot need some help fixing their wheel, and Hardy encourages the party to ride with the locals to Tombstone and see what terrors this domain has to offer. Things went bad when the party had a run in with Jacobi Jensen, and Hardy was gravely injured- now the party rushes her to a hospital a short ways down Route 666, hoping the Coachmen won't steer them in the wrong direction...

Arkham Sanitarum: the Domain of Bedlam

The Darklord, Doctor Myrtle Fletcher, is a calculating hospital administrator who has surpassed all the envious men around her in intellectual pursuit and seeks to cure all mental illness through her hush hush grand experiment. Under her are assembled some of the most sadistic medical professionals that ever purported to practice the craft- William Palmer, Robert Knox, Helmut Gregor, Howard Holmes, Herbert West- each a devil in their own right. 

Included for continuing Hardy & Beholder Investigations along Route 666 in adventurer's league, the module presents a short visit to Arkham Sanitarium and one other Domain of Dread on the whims of Doctor Fletcher which should take 4 hours (or two 4 hour sessions at max). Outside of the AL story continuation, this book presents four Domains touched by the influence of the Far Realms for incorporation into your map of Ravenloft.

Mushnik's Skid Row Florist: The Domain of Nebekh (נעבעך)

Seymour is slave to the whims of the greater evil lurking in the shop- sentient plant Audrey Jr. 

Innsmouth: the Domain of Devolution

Outsiders shun Innsmouth, and the surrounding regions warn against it. The town decayed after epidemics and riots a hundred years ago, its once-prosperous fishing and milling industries ruined. Ships ceased to dock, and the inhabitants grew reclusive, intermarrying and developing the infamous “Innsmouth look”- bulging eyes, flat noses, creased necks, and shambling walks. Whispers speak of devil-worship and unholy pacts with sea-devils, and those who go looking for trouble in Innsmouth rarely live to tell the tale... not that anyone would believe what they're selling.

Dunwich: the Domain of Dark Parentage

No one can say just what is the matter with Dunwich; old legends speak of unhallowed rites and conclaves amidst which forbidden shapes of shadow were called out of the great rounded hills, and wild orgiastic prayers answered by loud crackings and rumblings from the ground below... The Darklord of the Domain, Wilbur Whateley, is keeper of a massive family secret that could kill thousands if it were to get out.

Authors' Note & Apologies for the Wait

We apologize that this volume has taken over a year to finish. Its honestly been hard to work on, though in some aspects has been an outlet for when the real life stuff felt like it was insurmountable. In life outside of fantasy writing, we've been dealing with physical threats and an important lawsuit to protect the constitutional rights of your author Narcissa Nightshade and 580,000+ folks purposefully misreported by NYS to the NICS as "involuntarily committed to a mental institution" during regular doctors visits with zero notice or due process. You might know that the "involuntary commitment" label is in most respects equivalent to that of "felon" when it comes to your civil rights. The gestapo weaponized their false report to kidnap, rob and maliciously prosecute us on Holocaust Remembrance Day 2022. For their trouble, the judge found them guilty of two fraud counts (210.35 Sworn False Statements to the Grand Jury in the 2nd Degree) to unlawfully indict us on a collective 116 fabricated felony "possession of an arsenal"/"assault weapons possession" charges. Narcissa's lawsuit aims not just to secure personal damages for what she's been put through, but to audit the NICS system and restore constitutional protections to the other 3%+ of the state population the nazis have put into digital internment, and you can learn about her fight by clicking here. 2025 saw major movement with her case (Krenzer vs Wilkins 24-cv-6007) removed to Judge Vacca who ordered that all counts have merit and Narcissa's new address should be hidden from the defendants for her protection.
