Some clerics swear themselves with words. Others with prayer, ritual, or quiet devotion.

The gods of the Blood Oath do not demand constant worship. They demand proof. To them, faith is not what is spoken in temples, but what is paid when it matters most. A vow is not complete until it costs something. A promise is not sacred until it bleeds.

Clerics of the Blood Oath cut their faith into their flesh. Their scars are scripture. Their wounds are offerings. Each oath is a living thing, bound to the body that swore it. To break such a vow is not merely heresy, it is self-mutilation of the soul.

When a Blood Oath cleric heals, they do not erase pain. They transfer it. When they bless, they bind the blessing to sacrifice. When they judge, the punishment is exacted in blood, sometimes their own, sometimes another’s.

To these clerics, suffering is not virtue. But sacrifice is.
