Paladins of the Oath of the Final Witness are often stationed where lives are meant to end. They stand at scaffolds and gallows, at prison yards and city squares, and especially at executions. but as proof that the moment was seen and judged; they are usually the only ones to actually document it, too. Their presence is meant to ensure that death is carried out cleanly, lawfully, and without excess, and that no one is forgotten in their final moments.

That same resolve follows them into battle.Whether at an execution or on a battlefield, the paladin’s role is not to stop every death, but to stand close enough that the moment carries weight.
