Relic Thief - Rogue 5e Subclass
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild
Relic Thief -- Rogue Subclass (5e)
The vault was quiet, but the relic wasn’t. It whispered as soon as the door opened, promising power and warning of consequences in the same breath.
The rogue didn’t answer. Gloves on, breath steady, she lifted the idol just long enough to feel the weight of the curse press back. She slid it into a lead-lined case, the whispers fading to a dull murmur.
By the time the guards arrived, the vault was empty again. Whatever the relic had wanted, it would have to wait.
Relic Thieves are cautious, methodical, and rarely sentimental about the treasures they steal. They know that some magic remembers its owners, and some remembers its victims. Whether they sell relics, lock them away, or destroy them depends on who trained them, and who they trust to keep such power contained.
These rogues are employed by vaults, churches, arcane colleges, and desperate rulers who need dangerous objects moved, contained, or stolen before they cause further harm. To a Relic Thief, the real challenge is not the lock or the guard, but the thing waiting inside the vault itself.
