The Monk: The Warriors of the Forbidden Subclass for 2024 D&D 5e
The Warriors of the Forbidden is a homebrew Monk subclass for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, built for those who practice the perverse arts of sundering the life, mind and spiritual flow of others. These Monks take the rigorous combat training and mental discipline that allows them to manipulate the Focus within themselves to rend the life force of others, disrupting the life flow within other to curse their abilities, draw out other's spiritual energy to harvest Focus, and force a creature’s mind, body or soul to violently rebel against itself. Monks of other traditions look down upon the Warriors of the Forbidden tradition for it is considered unnatural to interrupt, sunder and twist the natural flow of the life force of others but few can survive the results.
This Subclass includes:
- Shatter the Flow. Your Blows curse your enemies with Disadvantage on chosen ability checks.
- Harvest the Soul. Reap Focus from an opponent.
- Sever the River. Inflict a greater curse with Shatter the Flow to cause Disadvantage on Saving Throws, prevent Reactions or prevent Concentrations.
- Strength to Weakness. Strike an opponent with Force damage using their greatest Ability.
