Expedition to the Severed Vault and its sequel Escape from the Severed Vault are a pair of adventures centered around completing puzzling rituals in the thick of climactic combats. Help your patron open a portal into Vault 17, where an enigmatic organization locked away things not meant for the world to see, then find a way to phone home so you can escape the vault's oppressive grasp. Encounter weird characters and weirder magic in this action-packed romp. This series features:

• Puzzles during boss-fights for fans of complicated combats
• Weird magic with sci-fi/cosmic horror aesthetics inspired by SCP foundation stories
• Floating skulls, cat toys, and a whole lotta books for some reason
• High-resolution combat maps for VTT play and portraits for all major NPCs

The Shrouded Vaults was once a sprawling organization dedicated to containing the paranormal in thousands of vaults scattered across Toril and planes beyond. Past adventures dealt with their attempts to contain dangerous artifacts, phenomena, and creatures. This was before their decline. It is now 1499 DR and the Shrouded Vaults has splintered into dozens of infighting factions.

Expedition to/Escape from the Severed Vault is a pair of adventures that forms a complete story arc. Though it references events from DC-POA-LEGIT-SV-03 The Beggar's Blood it does not expect characters or DMs to have played it (if any PCs have played it, they have had their memories altered). Subsequent adventures will be separate storylines and feature different splinter factions.
